Empowerment for Afghan youth in Pankow

We want to explore Berlin through rap workshops, theater trips, bike tours, and much more!

In 2022, the project focused on group tutoring and regular meetings. In 2023, the focus is on culture: rap workshops, theater trips, bike tours through Berlin, and museum visits. We want to explore Berlin!

We’ve already done the following workshops and activities:

Rap Workshop

The startup KANZI showed the teens how to write lyrics and rap in German.

Learning German is more fun with music and creativity!

Bowling Afternoon

One afternoon, the Afghan teenagers from Pankow went bowling together for the first time. Everyone had a great time.

Bike Tour Through Berlin

We went on a bike tour in beautiful weather. The Afghan teens haven’t been in Berlin very long, and all the information was translated into Dari, so everyone learned a lot about Berlin! We saw a section of the Berlin Wall, the government district, and Museum Island.
